Undergraduate Description & Requirements
The Women's Studies Program offers an undergraduate major within the Interdisciplinary Bachelors Degree in Humanities. Women's Studies majors will receive the Interdisciplinary Humanities B.A. Degree. A. Admission

Thirty-three (33) semester hours of Women's Studies courses and approved cross-listed courses distributed as described below. Only one course from the list of approved Women's Studies courses that is used to satisfy the requirement for liberal studies may also be counted toward fulfillment of the major. Honors thesis hours may be applied toward the bachelor of arts (BA) degree, but only three (3) semester hours will be accepted for major credit. All courses counted toward the major must carry the grade of "C-" or better. Majors must maintain a 2.0 average for graduation. Women's Studies majors are required to complete a minor, and are strongly encouraged to complete a minor in a single discipline. No course used to satisfy requirements for a minor may be counted for the major. Double Majors:
Students pursuing a double major must meet the program requirements of both majors, with the following exceptions: 1) no more than six (6) semester hours may be counted toward both majors; and 2) no minors are required for the double major. Distribution:
1. WST Requirements: Twelve (12) semester hours
in WST interdisciplinary courses 2. Cross-listed Courses: Twelve (12) semester hours; three (3) from each of the following groups:

To be eligible for graduation, each major must complete an exit interview or survey. NOTE: Please note that the College of Arts and Sciences requires proficiency in a foreign language through the intermediate (2220 or equivalent) level or sign language through the advanced (2614 or equivalent) level. The Women's Studies Program offers a program in honors in the major to encourage talented juniors and seniors to undertake independent and original research as part of the undergraduate experience. Honors thesis hours may be applied toward the bachelor of arts (BA) degree, but only three (3) semester hours may be counted toward fulfillment of the major.
