American Association of University Women
(AAUW)
Open to all college graduates with bachelors degree or higher from a regionally
accredited college who are committed to equity for women. Promotes equity
for women, provides funds to advance education and research, and has a suppot
system for women seeking judicial redress for sex discrimination. Membership

National Women's Political Caucus of Florida, Tallahassee
Chapter Monthly meetings, second Tuesday of every month at Andrew's

Jack and Jill of America Involved in
community projects such as: Oratorical Contest, Christmas Adopt-a-Family
Program, Black Family Day, parenting workshops, monthly teen community service
projects.
League of Women Voters of Tallahassee
A nonprofit organization that monitors government, builds coalitions, speaks
out on important issues and conducts and moderates debates. Membership is
open to all who want to join their voices and energies in the cause of good

National Council of Jewish Women A volunteer
organization, inspired by Jewish values, that works through a program of
research, education, advocacy, and community service to improve the quality
of life for women, children and families and strives to ensure individual

National Council of Negro Women Inc.
Involved in community projects such as: Men of Tomorrow, Young Women's Leadership
Program, Women's History Month, scholarships; contributes to The Shelter
and Adopt-a-Family; sponsors parent-education classes.
National Hook-up of Black Women Involved
in community projects such as: "Save Our Black Child," "Saving Our Children:
Helping Them Face Life's Challenges," Adopt-a-Family; forums of welfare,
affirmative action and healthcare reform. Sponsors Gwen Cherry Scholarshhip
each year for students in Leon County; National chapter sponsors additional
